The ISAR team recently attended the European Respiratory Society’s (ERS) International Congress 2019, held in Madrid, Spain.

Dr Dermot Ryan, Director of the Respiratory Effectiveness Group (REG), presenting ISAR’s research on identifying hidden severe asthma in UK primary care. REG is a not-for-profit investigator-led academic initiative comprised of international severe asthma experts. They specialize in real-life and comparative effectiveness research in respiratory medicine and are an academic partner of ISAR.

The ISAR team and the study working groups had a meeting over dinner to discuss the latest research updates and kick-off a new research project titled ‘Comparative Effectiveness of Anti-IgE versus Anti-IL5 among those that are eligible for both modalities.’

On behalf of the Portugal Severe Asthma Registry, country lead, Dr Fonseca (left), is formally initiating the collaboration with ISAR via executing the country contract with Chris Price (OPC Legal and Commercial Director).
