The ISAR team had the opportunity to meet with Taiwanese collaborators during the Taiwan Respiratory Week.

Over 30 professionals gathered to understand the ISAR initiative and its impact on severe asthma research, and were delighted to help bring this international academic project to Taiwan this year!



Taiwan country lead, Professor Steve Perng, was instrumental in extending a warm welcome to the Taiwan site investigators for joining the ISAR initiative. This country-wide meeting provided a kick-start to this new collaboration.

The Central Coordinator of Taiwan, Dr. Ko Hsin-Kuo Bruce, addressing data entry and patient recruitment questions that were raised and discussed during the meeting. He will lead the project operationally together with Prof. Perng.
After the introductory presentation on the ISAR initiative and Openclinica training, the ISAR team enjoyed lunch with the Taiwanese collaborators.

After lunch, Professor Meng-Chih Lin represented the Taiwan Society of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (TSPCCM) to sign the country agreement for Taiwan to officially join ISAR.
